Ruben Darío is considered the founder of modernismo, a Spanish literary movement focused on poetry that also included the Cuban poet José Martí. The 'Metapa' cigar brand belongs to the Foundation Cigar Co. The Metapa line has a new name since 2024, and it is now being called Aksum.
